Atlas:
the navigation system for traumatology
Atlas is a navigation system that facilitates fixation of lateral fractures of the proximal femur, overcoming the limits of traditional techniques using virtual reality.
After fracture reduction, Atlas acquires the fluoroscopic images, over which it displays surgical instruments and implants as 3D models in real time.
By providing total control over procedures, it enables surgeons to operate precisely and smoothly, bringing considerable benefits in terms of accuracy, standardisation and reduction of operating time, and minimisation of ionising radiation.
APPLICATIONS
Atlas is used for:
FEMUR
Fixation of lateral fractures of the proximal femur with the EBA2 nailing system manufactured by Citieffe.
BENEFITS OF ATLAS
FOR SURGEONS
– ease of use
– accurate tracking
– standardisation and reduction of operating time
– lower ionising radiation dose
– guided distal locking
FOR PATIENTS
– reduced radiation exposure
– higher efficacy of surgical procedures
– better post-operative recovery
